My Favorite Movie Quote (Paraphrased)

In the movie “Dead Poets Society”, Robin Williams is a teacher at a very high class all boys private school.  All of the boys are neurotic and most are concerned about getting top marks in their classes so they can please their fathers ambitions for them.  Robin Williams is fully awake and he knows that these boys are in danger of playing the game and falling asleep because of the pressure to be successful in the worlds eyes. He is a little worked up and has the boys rip up their stupid text books and then when they are all excited he pulls them all close and says…

“You see boys, Medicine, Law, Business,

these are all worthy pursuits and necessary for supporting life,

but….Art..Poetry…these are the reasons we live!!!”
