Solitude on a Limb

When one merely picks up the droppings of the tree that sustains them, and the tree can no longer produce fruit because no rains have come, one can either water the tree or curse the tree and find another one.

The problem for those who only gather the fruit that lays at there feet, is that they don’t realize that it lies there largely due to the efforts of the one who has risked and learned how to climb and reach for the fruit in the first place.

With their heads focused on the ground, they assume that the tree has died, as it has always provided for them in the past with almost no effort on their part.

The short jaunt to find their next provider of fruit, can really piss off the gatherers, yet the one who dropped the fruit at their feet, still in the tree, is learning new ways to bare fruit.
