The Upside of Openness

Based on all of the research compiled on the subject of Creativity, the most important personal characteristic is Openness!

A truly creative person is willing to experience nearly anything as long as they percieve it to be worthwhile, in the context that it will add to their understanding, and increase the accuracy of their worldview. Ambiguity and fear of experiences, does not inhibit a creative individual from the experience, like it might with a less creative individual.

Creativity was commonly thought to be fostered by a supportive, nurturing, trustworthy environment conducive to self-actualization.

However, research shows that creativity is actually associated with childhood adversity, which forces a person to face their fears.

By being more open to challenges, than submitting to our fears, we develop our creativity while dispelling our fears.

    1. Creativity is an emergent phenomenon, but a natural and perhaps the most fundamental of what makes us human. We either create naturally and intuitively, or unconsciously and passively. Our expression of creativity both allows us to personally Actualize and innovate for the benefit of drawing the collective forward. Humans grow forward through expressing their creativity through an ever clarifying lens of reality and meaning.

The strict behavioralist or materialist, through their left sided analytic lens tends to get hung up on the pieces, that alone have limited value.
