A very basic law of thermodynamics and life: a derivation of the Second Law of thermodynamics 

To be “active”, to move, to animate, to act within ones environment, an object (a person) must possess more heat (energy) than its’ environmental surroundings, otherwise it is considered part of the environment and not different enough to give or receive, it’s not its own entity. In this way we can sense the energy of others, or not.
